There's a great photo in that entry of de Camp with Robert A. Heinlein and Isaac Asimov at the Philadelphia Naval Yard where all three worked during World War II. Interesting also to learn of de Camp's 60 year marriage to his wife and frequent collaborator Catherine Crook. This has got to be one of the longest and most successful partnerships in science fiction (marital or otherwise!) His personal site, originally commissioned in 1998, just two years before they both passed on, very much celebrates this partnership.
