I have been.
Been attending discussions that one Michael Stackpole conducts on his SIM for future writers. There are several other authors involved (how ever, figuring out who is who is another question all together... since you only get to invent your first name in SL, you have to pick from a list for your second name...). He discusses a lot of the legal and practical issues of being an author. The F&SF Writers meet on Wednesday evenings... 6 p.m. SL time (same as Pacific Time).
Yeah... I've been sucked into Second Life. That's a science fiction story in itself.
Garnet Neutron - This one's my first of four avatars that are mine... and one I built for my husband. She's the one that I use to attend these meetings, so if you're "in world" give me an IM, I'll tell you where to go. *grin*
I've gotten to finally build my geodetic dome... and my chalet, too!
Go figure... the chalet is 1000 meters "up in the air"... Well... there's also a "Thunderhead" skybox at 2000 meters, but I haven't got that image uploaded yet... it houses the "Coffee House on the Turtle's Back" presence on SL...
This is my second attempt at "machinima" (think: the movie "Avatar"):
Meh... it's pretty crappy actually... but hey! I was just newly figuring it out and in a hurry to make the deadline for the contest that The Tech Virtual was conducting. Considering I was running all avatars on one computer, plus running Fraps to video it... Well... it's something to improve on.
Yeah, well... that's what I've been doing for over a year...
