Now that our "Author August" celebrations have reached their conclusion, we have time to think ahead. This was actually our fifth annual event, and
as ever a lot of fun, with new contributors joining in, often coming along from the author in question's own website - and we must in particular thank
featured authors Kelley Eskridge, Nicola Griffith, and David J. Williams for joining in, not just in their own threads but sharing their own experiences,
insights and recommendations on other days too.
As usual, we've all added a lot of books by various different authors to our "Must Read" list - and this leads us on to our next pair of Group Reads which, after taking September off to recover and prepare, we are scheduling as follows:
October: Solitaire by Kelley Eskridge
November: Ammonite by Nicola Griffith
We have heard a lot of positive things about both these books, so if you want to read them along with us, contact your favourite bookseller or library now and make arrangements for their acquisition. Or if you have already read them, be ready to come along to the author threads in question when appropriate and join in the general comments, though without too many spoilers please. We are hoping that both Kelley Eskridge and Nicola Griffith will join in the discussion, and respond to any relevant questions, too.
So, make a couple of notes in your diary! All our author threads in Author Central remain open for comments, so if you missed any of the "Author August" days relating to your favourite authors, or have other writers to discuss, do please feel free to drop by our board whenever you like.

I just read Ammonite last week! It was very good though, so it'll great to discuss it later this year.
