I just watched the Korean short film triptych Doomsday Book on Netflix. It was uneven but well worth watching, particularly for the middle film "Heavenly Creature". This short tells the story of the Buddha reincarnated in a robot and the conflict this causes for humanity. The first short "Brave New World" did not at all live up to it's usurpation of the Huxley title and was basically a cheesy zombie story with a little bit of anti-farm factory mad cow paranoia implied but not really fully addressed. The last piece, "Happy Birthday", was the fullest "doomsday" story of the three, but was much more satirical than reality based in every respect, and at least good for a few laughs.
