I'm currently reading one called Space Odyssey which was originaly published in Great Britain in 1984 by Octopus Books Limited. Know this one Custer?
It's really great, with a remarkable line up of stories from Vonnegut, Zelazny, John Campbell (never read an actual stoty by the famous editior before, and "Twilight" was plain awesome!), Fritz Leiber, H.G. Wells, J.G. Ballard, Pohl, Clarke, Wyndham, Heinlein, Bradbury, Ursula K. Le Guin, Sheckley, Disch, Sturgeon, A.E. van Vogt, Poul Anderson, PKD, Silverberg, and a few lesser knowns as well.
It's amazing how many of these folks were still alive when this came out (as the permissions in the back indicates) and who have since left us.
Lets fill this thread with reccomendations of great story collections!
