I got "Troops" on a magazine cover CD, it was good, I remember... unlike some of the other amateur efforts they included!

There's a guy at work who's building his own R2D2, he thinks it'll end up costing around £1,500. And he goes to Star Wars conventions etc dressed as a stormtrooper with his mates to scare young ladies

I hope he's at least 5'10" tall, or the "You're kind of short for a stormtrooper" (or whatever the exact phrase was) remarks could become unbearable... as well as people coming up and telling him that these weren't the droids he was looking for, of course...

It is perhaps a tiny bit strange that people want to dress up in that white armour - after all, they aren't actually very heroic, or really all that villainous, your average stormtroopers. A convention full of Lord Vaders breathing deeply and saying "Your powers are weak, old man" might be pushing it a bit, but let's have a few more Boba Fetts, or other bounty hunters, or admirals, or starfighter pilots...

From what he says a large part of the attraction is that nobody can see who you are, so you feel free to do whatever the hell you like
Of course some people don't need masks for that

That antiseptic white armor didn't do a thing armor-wise
